Title: My 17 year old sons surgery
Post by: coloradokidd on December 07, 2007, 12:13:11 pm
Good news my son had translab on Monday. He got home yesterday. Everything went as expected, the tumor was in the cochlear nerve, not on the outside. The tumor was much bigger too. it was not a schnoma, we should know what it was next week. Thanks for everyones support and prayers, this IS the best Christmas present ever!!!!

 coloradokid,
I'm glad to hear things are going well.  Going home three days after surgery is really excellent.  It sounds like he has good recooperative powers.
Regards,
 Rob

Glad to hear surgery went well!  Yes....many of us have a lot to be thankful for this Holiday Season!  Keep us posted on the tumor type.....I'm very curious.

Hi, coloradokidd:

Thanks for sharing the good news about your son's surgery.  It sounds as if he'll be fine.  Even though he didn't have an acoustic neuroma (vestibular schwannoma) we are interested in learning exactly what kind of tumor he had and how he is doing, post-op.  Please don't abandon the forum...let us know what happened and exactly what gave him all the trouble.  We care.
