Surgery is schedule - retrosigmoid. My physicians are Dr. Calhoun Cunningham and Dr. Fuchushima, Raleigh, NC. Medium size.
This site has been informative and helped relieve some of my fears during the past couple months.
Thanks,
Judy

Judy,
Best of luck with your surgery. I know I felt some relief once treatment was scheduled. The last week will go quickly.
During recovery, don't hesitate to ask your doctors about vestibular retraining therapy. Many forum members have found it very helpful. They will recommend a physical therapist who has experience in vestibular retraining. I went to Jim Cavanaugh at Duke, he understood exactly what was happening after the loss of a vestibular nerve, and helped speed along the relearning the brain has to do.
I hope you can make it to one of the local ANA meetings in Durham. I've met several people there who were also treated by your treatment team.
Regards,
Rob

November sounds busy! Best wishes to all of you on your surgeries. Our thoughts will be with you in the coming weeks, and we will be waiting for your postie reports to appear shortly thereafter. And since you will soon be lounging around, being waited on hand and foot, we are expecting full reports! :D
Pre-surgery hugs to each of you. Steve

November does sound like a busy month! I go for my BAHA implant tomorrow, which is no big deal compared to what the rest of you are having. I'll just keep EVERYONE here in my thoughts and prayers. Even if you're not having surgery this month, a few extra good vibes coming your way can't hurt.
Sweet dreams to everyone during their surgeries and even better ones afterward! ;D

By now Judy's a postie and Cheryl's well on her way.
Hopefully we'll hear from both of them soon.
Let's keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
