Title: Any feedback from Symposium
Post by: Richey on September 30, 2007, 08:35:21 pm
Was wondering if any of you attended the July event in Philly and what you think about the value of ordering the audio sessions from it.

I am particularly interested in the session on tinnistus and  on what's new in hearing restoration

Did you see the notes we posted below?

Hearing restoration? As in hearing aids? baha, transear, cros, cochlear implants if you have lost  your hearing completely in both ears, (there was one more for that and one gentleman had it but I can't think of it right now).  :-\

Tinnitus has not treatment. One Dr. recommended t retraining. There are machines to accomplish this or you can use an mp3 or ipod to do the same thing. What I got out of it is a low level noise to reduce your tinnitus. I notice mine more when the house is quiet.
Information can never be a bad thing!
