A journalist in TX is having surgery this week for a 6.5cm (!) AN. He published a personal essay about it this morning.

I thought I remembered you were from TX, too. Guess y'all don't play around with dinky ANs - everything's bigger in Texas, right? ;)

Joey Richards is the sports writer for our local paper! He lives in my town. I'm wearing my pirate socks for him and told him I'd have em on and say some prayers.

Interesting article that reflects some of the feelings we've all shared , especially before surgery. We're grateful we have a benign, operable tumor but worry that we'll end up a different person after surgery, either physically or emotionally. Sometimes both.
I'll pray for Mr. Richards and trust that his September 27th surgery will be successful and complications will be few, minor or, better yet, non-existent.
