Well I can relate to the typing issue. Yesterday tried to get mom to type a letter to her brother on the computer. She was a great secretary and to this day she can tell me how to spell words I have trouble with. ( I hated english in school ) She had so much trouble typing she threw up everything from lunch. It was to much thinking for her. I felt so bad. I really hope this CK center in KS can help her.
Has anyone ever had a 4 cm tumor? What did you have done? How was the out come?

Ouch; Mary
Painful to read Mom's story!
I hope they can help with CyberKnife but one must be realistic in thinking things 'may' worsen before getting better. Especially with radiation which makes a tumor swell befor it causes it to die.
Best wishes to your Mom!

Hi everyone, Well our trip to see Dr. Rosenberg was great. I learned a great deal. I have a problem though.
I would like some opinions from all of you.
I now have a choice to make between Cyber Knife and IMRT. Please give me your opinions.
Remember Mom is a healthy 81 year old, the tumor is 4 cm, it's pushing on the brain stem, and it's probably affecting nerves 5 thru 9. The recent MRI showed a growth of 5 mm in 9 months.
Thanks everyone
Mary
