I came across this link to a University of Pittsburgh discussion of Acoustic Neuroma treatments, which is probably one of the best I've seen in terms of providing some clinical study results as well as a discussion of 2 of the most significant myths involving radiosurgery ( malignant transformation and surgery after radiation). Pitt is consistently rated as a top 10 neurosurgery center and utilizes both surgery and radiosurgery. I would consider this along with the other acoustic neuroma discussions on this site a "must read" article for anyone doing their treatment research

From this link you can access all of their discussions on surgery, observation , FSR, GK and patient satisfaction, all of which are very well written
