Title: Correction on stats
Post by: mhs on August 18, 2007, 11:33:33 am
I incorrectly attributed one stat to Stanford when it should have been for Johns Hopkins.  Over a 10 year period JH told me they have done 550-600 Fractionated Stereotactic Radiosurgeries on AN's.  Stanford told me they have done >100 but <150 Cyberknife's in the last year.  Sorry for the mistake.

just as a meaningless piece of trivia, I was right around number 400 at Stanford when I was treated in 2001 and #2 or 3 on the second generation machine they had just installed at the time. I got a first hand experience of the the targeting safeguards when the machine stopped twice in the treatment routine because the robot didn't like something  :o. Didn't bother the techs but it sure made me nervous  ;)
