Hi everyone. I just picked up my films and reports of my 18 month MRI. I don't see the docs till friday, but what I'm reading sounds good. (Views of the seventh-eigth nerve complexes again reveal a persistent area of enhancement on the left. This is smaller than on prior studies and now measures 6mm x 4mm.) My diagnosed size was 8mm x 6mm. But there is no mention of necrosis. When I read other posts it seems everyone mentions necrosis. Does the report have to say it to be true? Just wondered if anyone else never had mention of necrosis in thie reports. Anyway I'm happy. Maybe I'll break out the old bottle of wine. Just make sure I'll drink lots of water.

Sometimes, and only sometimes a dead tumour shows a darker area
in the middle that extends out in successive scans over time
However a goodly numbers of tumours are declared "dead"
after no growth or even shrinkage over time
- but never show the dark patch
Its a good sign - but by no means essential
Best Regards
Tony
