Sorry, but I just don't buy this theory that cell phone use 'causes' acoustic neuroma tumors to develop.
Cell phones are a very recent invention yet AN's have been around for over a century. This theory is a bit too convenient and the Swedish study has problems, as the linked article mentioned. I used a cell phone about 5 times in 5 years (my wife's) and developed a 4.5 cm AN tumor. I don't believe my case was simply an anomaly. Many others have a similar story.
I'm not a physician or scentist and I may be wrong, of course, but I think the "Cell phone usage causes acoustic neuroma tumors" headlines are simply tabloid hyperbole posing as scientific findings and have little basis in fact. As I said, I could be wrong.
