Title: too early to celebrate but....

Round 1

Today, I am Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, for my follow up on my hearing test and meeting with my brain-surgeon-on-hold-just-in-case, Dr. Peter Black's team (I'm actually in his reception area now.. how kewl is that for him to offer me access to you all?)

Well, just had my hearing test done.  Gawd Bless Cyberknife!  My hearing is BACK to hearing pre-CK! :)  OMG!    Hearing test was done pre-treatment, then 4 mos post treat, now 6 mos later.  4 mos test showed post-treat swelling... now 10 mos post-treat and my hearing is back to same as pre-treat!  Tears.... omg, tears!

Round 2
Monday... have MRI and meeting with the whole CK team!  I better get good news on Monday.  I think we all could use it around here!

Why did that one doctor in charge of my Gamma Knife tell me "You'll probably lose all of your hearing in that ear."?

*takes Sue by the hand and does happy dance around the reception area, trips over end table with brain tumor literature, scattered about, we both fall to floor laughing!*

Oh, Sue....it's a myth darlin... hearing retention is a possibility...and hoping your's stays good too!  Hang tough, our dear Poet Lorry-ette!

Gosh we have so much fun in our cyber world!  I miss our voyages.  Right now is a sad time in our AN community, so maybe in a few months it will be better for everyone.
