Title: Yay! GK scheduled Dec. 27th!!!!

Well, San Diego Gamma Knife Center called me today and they were finally able to get my doctors to coordinate their schedules for December 27th. YAY! I can't wait to kill this bugger! I'm a little scared of the head frame thing but I know it's MUCH better than them cutting into my skull! I will keep everyone posted on how it goes and have my Hubby take pictures. Maybe even video! I have awesome doctors from UCSD ( Dr. Harris and Dr. Alksne ) and I feel very confident with them.

Hi Lana - Isn't is sense of relief to finally have a date marked on the calendar. We will all be sending our positive healing energy your way and I know all will go well. We like pictures ;D, so takes lots of them and yes! a video would be cool as well.

Thank you so much for all your support everyone! Reading your posts made me feel giddy, lol. I am very relieved to have the date set and my decision made. I'll keep you all posted.

Busybonnie- Glad to hear your going to get the booger zapped. I know the feeling. You want to get it over with and wait for the results to happen. Don't worry about the headframe, one thing I forgot to mention was there was no pain with the placement of the headframe for me, it was just an incredible pressure. once all 4 pins are at equal pressure then you will not feel anything, and it all happens pretty fast. after the headframe was placed on me it reminded of my high school football years wearing a football helment. you can touch the face mask and it feels like it is apart of you. I promise you will do fine, just go in with a positive attitude, know it will be a GREAT DAY!for killing tumors. I will be praying for you!

It's nice to hear from someone that has the same doctor! I just adore Dr. Alksne and I just know he and Dr. Harris will be great.
