Hello:
My husband is on a forum and he was a montorator for one forum. There is one artistic forum that he is on now (computer art) and there are about 20 montoratos on it so, they kill those spam posts at the time they come in. It must be nice! I suppose with that many people hovering, then it can keep clean. (or yes, a password would be helpful) SOMETHING! I agree though, I have a husband, my watercolour art I sell, my Golden Retriever dogs, huge gardens, pool upkeep, hot-tub upkeep, myself and the house to deal with, etc. Now, I need to figure on more monies. My husband has a serious health issue so, we got cleaned out financially. We have to figure what to do next. I too, have no time or patience for porn. That is a big money business and I'm not supporting it. It is us AN people that need the honest bucks! I'm ready to go get a bell and ring it myself; no more spam and porn, please!

Palace I just heard that the bell ringers are making between 7 and 10 an hour and if they bring in x amount of dollars they get a bonus. Now I think that is just wrong! You and me would be fighting for the bell LOL

I really think I will switch to a forum that is free of spam. (where yes, we can post the same medical questions) I think that is best for me and maybe check-back and see (sometime) if this forum was ever cleared. You have all been wonderful and I hope I have helped others in my brief time. I'm a solid and reasonable person. (not a walk-out) or cry-baby at the least possible problem however, there are other ways for us. (other choices) I gave this a chance and might be back someday. You will see my name as, "Lacie" on the Cyberknife forum, etc.
Have a wonderful holiday if you are able under our med-condition and hopefully an AN-free New Year,

Hi everyone
This forum is far too valuable and important for us AN ers to loose contibutors because of this current bombardment of
porn and sleaze . I too feel like giving it a break but think that I would miss all of you too much if I just stopped . All this filth makes me feel dirty and I keep thinking that the vice squad will burst through my door any minute and take my computer away ! And that is without me even thinking of opening any of the sleazy spams ! I am a total innocent to internet porn and wish to remain so. I really hope that something will be done before we loose any more contributors .

Msuscottie has a wonderful website dedicated to various medical conditions and topics. There is a special section for AN's and the format is identical to this site, and it does not have ANY of this filthy and constant SPAM!!! Many of the regulars from this forum are at Scott's website. While this site has been a blessing during my AN journey, I just can't tolerate the filth by spambots and lack of monitoring by the administrator.

The following text is the response e-mail from the Director of this website which I received on December 5th as a result of an e-mail sent on the previous day relevant to our concerns appertaining to the escalating SPAM problem particularly with regard to the perverted material:-
Dear Derek
I am sorry that I have not responded yet to your request. I too, find the SPAM very annoying. I have a website company and a board committee who work with me on these types of decisions. I will get back to you soon. The increasing amount of SPAM is very concerning and we are trying to solve the problem.
Judi B. Vitucci
Executive Director
ANA
I hope to speak with Ms Vitucci as soon as possible when I will endeavour to obtain a response as to the  intended action that is proposed to end the SPAM posts once and for all.
This is an absolute precious gem of a website whose 'family' members regularly and willingly offer empathy, compassion, sound practical advice and indeed humour to those in need of contact and who are often (particularly 'newbies') scared out of their wits after diagnosis.
We must and will, get over this temporary 'blip' of SPAM posts and we have quite rightly robustly brought our concerns to the attention of the website administrators.Just hang on in there whilst we are going through the process of resolving the situation and  hopefully we will have cause to celebrate some good news very soon.
Best Regards
Derek
