My Pain Specialist is suggesting chemical nerve ablation for my Occipital and Greater Occipital Nerves due to continued pain like grenades going off in my head when I cough, sneeze, bend over etc. My AN removal was 11/08. My daily pain average is at a 7 even with 6 Tramadol a day and Dilaudid when needed. I would like to know if anyone has had this procedure and if it helped the pain ?
Did it cause additional problems. Due to my type of pain he feels chemical is better than burning.
Any comments will be appreciated.
