Anyone in post-op phase who plays golf? Surgeon said it may take a while to regain the balance necessary to play.

I am not an avid nor a good golfer, but I do golf. I didn't golf until about 4 months post-op, but when I did, it was the best I"ve ever played. I think the lingering equilibrium issues forced me to keep my head still, and I hit the ball really well. I think after a few months you should be fine, based on my experience!

greece lover, thanks for sharing your experience, much better answer than I was expecting. good luck on your continued recovery

But, my putting was still crappy!

I have won a few golfing trophies which I have won on corporate golf days.
Pity they are shaped like wooden spoons, or are a beautiful trophy with NAGA engraved on it.
(Not A Golfers Ahole) I think my driving has got better, but not being able to sense the slope as well has made my putting worse. I think with more practice an AN wouldn't change my game. Much though I would like to blame my poor golfing on it.

I had given up golf before tumor awareness. Balance was part of the issue. I started up again last year (five years post), and it has gone reasonably well. Not easy, but well enough. I suspect once you give yourself enough time for a full recovery you'll be back to form.
There are a lot of factors in your recovery time, so give yourself time. Plus, the more you walk, the better you will do in your recovery.

had surgery last week and looking forward to getting back to the range one last time before ski season starts, although still experiencing post-op wobbles so have to get my feet together before i start whipping my body around.

I play golf, and the first couple days, I noticed balance issues. The body quickly readjusted. I suggest jump out there and give it a try. You may notice some "issues", but after a couple days on the range, I would bet the body will make the necessary adjustments
