Title: Does a realistic timeline to feel well enough to return to work exist?
Post by: Kjaffe on September 29, 2016, 11:43:32 am
My (experienced) surgeon suggested that after four weeks I'd be well enough to return to work on a regular basis.  I'm three and a half weeks post surgery and I'm not there yet and don't anticipate being there soon.  I'm walking four or so miles a day, doing vestibular rehab daily, but still feel dizzy and tired.  Would be interested in learning about others' path/timeline to recovery understanding that a typcial path does not exist.

I had a 1.2 cm tumor removed via retrosig approach.

I would not have been ready to return to work at 4 weeks postop. I had my surgery on May 26th and returned to work on August 29. I'm a college professor so I had my surgery after the Spring semester and returned for the Fall. I wasn't driving at 4 weeks due to the dizziness.

I'm a college professor, too!  I also could not have returned to work, nor was I driving, at 4 weeks.  I would say 6 weeks was a better point for me.
