Hi All,
Today I had my 2 year scan since having been treated by cyberknife at Stanford.
8:30 this morning I had an MRI which went smooth.
10:00 was the scan reading with Dr. Chang, he showed me the images and we compared current with last years image.
Good news, my tumor has reduced in sized and has pulled away from my brain stem by a little. He likes what he sees and has scheduled
me for a scan a year from now.
All in all I feel ok. The tinnitus is constant and occasionally I feel some tingling around my eye and check. My hearing, left side has
reduced also. I'm working everyday doing Park Management which involves everything from climbing ladders, crawling under structures,
and driving many miles a day. I take it day by day.
Thanks everyone,
kejac

Shrinkage is good to see.
It's our favorite word.

Hi Kejac--- That's fantastic news! It's so heartening to hear of your positive results from Stanford 2 years on- and staying so active is inspiring.
my 6 month scans will be assessed next week by Dr Chang . I'm feeling well and reading your post inspires being positive - thanks for posting!.

I was happy to get the results I did. Though, we didn't discuss actual size I'm curious to know so I can add it to my sig. Heh.
Thanks SP and good luck with your visit, keep us posted on your results. My 6 month scan showed a little swelling, it was to be expected. Then at 1 year it reduced a little. Now, 2 years, which went by real fast reduced a little more.
Again, good luck next week.
Take care,
kejac

I see you are in Australia and was curious to know how the consultation with Dr. Chang works remotely (I assume you are not going back to Stanford for it). I am scheduling treatment with Chang for later this month and I am also outside the area but never bothered to ask how that worked. I assume you get an MRI done locally and mail/email the results to him and then you speak on the phone?

Thanks for the well wishes kejac - fingers crossed :)
Hello tdlight- you assume correctly, although I do look forward to visiting California with a more fun agenda some time... yes my follow up MRI was done locally (Sydney) and the disc with the images sent via FedEx to Dr Chang. He is not so easy to get on the phone, so I'm expecting correspondence via email - which is fine by me, as his email responses prior to my trip to USA were timely and very detailed.
Best of luck with it all; Dr Chang & Dr Soltys & of course the CK staff at Stanford are outstanding professionals.
