I was too late finding this article... I've already had my surgery. But in case anyone finds it useful or thought provoking I thought I'd post this 2014 article here:
Study suggests potential therapeutic role of aspirin in inhibiting vestibular schwannoma growth (http://www.news-medical.net/news/20140124/Study-suggests-potential-therapeutic-role-of-aspirin-in-inhibiting-vestibular-schwannoma-growth.aspx)
Keep in mind aspirin is hard on the tummy. Many plant foods contain 'natural' aspirin.

We read that article when it first came out last year and discussed it with our neurosurgeon and ENT.
Many people in our local AN support group also discussed it as well. We laughed, as most of us were already taking the daily "baby aspirin" for years and we still needed treatment.
Basically the docs said "if it makes you feel better then go ahead and continue taking it," but they had little faith that it would prevent an AN from growing. It sounds too good to be true.
Then again, I'm sure there are some who's AN haven't grown who may be attributing it (rightly or wrongly) to aspirin.
I think it would be all over the news if it truly worked.
