Title: My good news
Post by: lorjacks on February 18, 2015, 02:53:03 pm
Hi everyone - I thought I would post this to share my good news... it's always encouraging to hear good outcomes. I had Cyberknife treatment in 3 sessions in July of 2014. I went back for the results of my 6 mo. MRI yesterday and my doctor told me that the AN is already showing signs of necrosis. We were so happy and so grateful to God and everyone that kept us in their prayers. I'm also grateful to the AN association for the support and information they gave us. It's a wonderful organization. For any one out there that wants to know about my cyberknife experience, it is posted here: http://warpedandwoaded.blogspot.com/p/an-story.html    ;D  ;D  ;D

Congratulations. Good news is always good.

But necrosis is only the first step after CK.

Now you get to watch for shrinkage. But that might take a year or two to see.

Before that happens you might see some swelling of the tumor at your next MRI. That's normal.
