Title: Tongue numbness post
Post by: pamelasimonsen on November 29, 2014, 04:57:10 pm
I am almost 4 weeks post translab AN resection and since surgery I have been experiencing left sided tongue numbness. This was the side of my AN. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, how long till it resolves?

My tongue is still somewhat numb just over three years after surgery, but I rarely notice it anymore. It has improved and I have become accustomed to it, I guess. Time has helped me more than anything else.

I am 7 weeks after my surgery, and have the same problem. Kind of feels like I lost my taste buds on half of the tongue.  Food doesn't taste the same on that side. After 7 weeks it still feels the same, no changes. I hope it slowly goes away.

I never had any tongue numbness but I do have a decrease in saliva. It has gotten better but still feels like my teeth get "furry". UGH. My right eye (AN side) does not tear any more. It has been 5 months today since my translab surgery. It is not as dry as before tho.. Do you notice less saliva also?
