Sometimes you have to look backward to realize how far you’ve come. It’s been a very eventful year with a lot of highs and lows (medically and personally). But if I look back to a year ago, I realize I have a lot to be grateful for. Feel free to add your own thoughts (positive thoughts only—no disclaimers! :) )
- I can now close my eye
- I can cry (it's a blessing! really!)
- I can go almost a full day without using drops
- I am starting to experiment with not taping my eye a couple nights a week
- I am grateful for my job and supportive coworkers
- I am grateful for my medical insurance
- I am grateful for this place—to share experiences with others who have had a lot of the same issues

Hi Kristena,
We definitely do have to look back sometimes to see just how far we've come and it's a great idea for a post!
- I'm grateful that I can now walk a straight line and not wobble off the sidewalk most days
- I'm grateful that my ocular motor issues appear to be improving, when I walk at night now the lights no longer bounce around
- I'm especially grateful for my Phonak Bi-Cross
- And last but not least I am most grateful for the incredible medical team that have supported me through this journey at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto and the Gamma Knife Center, Toronto Western Hospital.

Hi Kristena,
Here are the things that I'm most grateful for:
- I'm grateful of my faith in God.
- I'm grateful that God is my helper and upholder of my life.
- I'm grateful to God for many blessings that He has blessed me with.
Psalm 103:2,3:"Bless You Yahweh,O our souls, and forget not all Your benefits:
You forgive all our iniquities. You heal all our diseases!"
