Title: does this ring a bell?
Post by: karen52 on June 09, 2005, 01:01:55 am
MY sister,  having a touch of speach clarity problems , I thought  said  and spelled the following: a 4 cm RITE BERVOLAR cerebellopointine angle w/ acoustic nueroma?  I can't locate, in the search engine,  the capitalized  portion of this name?  Any ideas?

Also, how does   cerebellopointine angle w/ acoustic...   differ from an acoustic neuronoma?  I know that is dumb,  but  I have a lot to learn.

thanks

karen

Hi
I searched "RITE BERVOLAR" in PubMed, eMedicine, Metacrawler, Medicinet.com and a couple others and do not believe either the spelling is correct or such a term exists. Case doesn't matter.
An acoustic neuroma in the cerrobellopontine angle, CPA, seems sufficient for a layperson. Drs... Geesh...
  Best wishes!!
