I'm returning after a few years of forgetting I had NF2 - my MRI this week shows tumour growth at a sight on the fat graft from translab surgery in 2006.
New growth is from what was previously identified as 'plaque' and is 21mm x 6mm x 5mm, abutting the trigeminal nerve but doesn't seem to be attached to any nerve.
When my 1st AN was removed NF2 wasn't considered but histology showed I had it and a 2nd AN on the other side started soon after. All steady until now.
2nd AN has increased in size from 2mm to 5mm.
Can anyone hazard a guess as to what type of tumour this would be that is growing on the 'margin of the fat graft'?
I've yet to talk with my Dr.

Santel,
did you ever get an answer from your doctor about this new tumor?
