My AN was 1.8cm when diagnosed.  One year later it was 2.4cm and I had Gamma knife.

Is that radiation?

Yes, Gamma Knife and Cyber Knife are radiation treatments.  Translabyrinthine, Retrosigmoid and Middle Fossa are surgical approaches.  If you look on our home page www. anausa.org, check out the info in the lower right corner under Treatment Option Summary.   There is lots of excellent info on this site and in the members section under webinars.

2.0 AN--normal hearing prior.

Retrosigmoid surgery retained normal hearing post op.

Mine was 1.9 cm when diagnosed and I chose CyberKnife.
At 7 weeks postop I feel the same as preop. I had no recovery problems to deal with and drove to and from all my sessions. My preop symptoms were tinnitus, hearing loss on right side, and minor disequilibrium. All symptoms remain and are at the same level as before treatment. There has been absolutely no interruptions in my daily routines and no fatigue issues so far.

Mine was 1.7 cm and I chose Gamma Knife after I researched all possibilites.  That was two years ago and am doing fine.

Radiation isn't something I want so we'll see what my neurosurgeon recommends. I had my follow up MRI. Tumor went from 1.9 to 2.1cm.

You have apparently determined what your treatment choice will be by the process of elimination. Radiation has been eliminated because you don't want it; Watch & Wait is eliminated because your tumor is growing; and that leaves only one option left - surgery.
