Title: Will My Ear POP After Surgery?
Post by: Pamm659 on February 17, 2014, 04:51:32 pm
Of all the things to ask, right? But, after surgery, will I feel my AN ear pop like being in high altitude, yawn big to clear my ears?
Thanks in advance for your responses,
Pamm

I've been participating here since about April 2012 and I don't recall anybody mentioning that.

To my knowledge (I am not a doctor.), if you have translab surgery, all of the inner and middle ear workings are removed so you will not be affected by pressure changes.  At least that has been my experience ..... no popping in my AN ear since surgery.

Prior to my surgery my AN ear felt like it was "full" - similar to being in an airplane before your ear "pops".

After surgery the fullness was gone.

Is that what you're asking?

Thank You for the responses. Some days my ear feels like it needs to pop. I try to yawn and make it happen and was just wondering what my ear will feel after surgery.
