I had CK last May and my AN ear began to itch in September. The itching was tolerable until I started wearing a hearing aid with a custom ear mold in that ear. The itch has become quite uncomfortable and I wonder if it might be one of those delayed reactions to radiation. Taking Benadryl helps and I was just given an Rx for some type of cortisone cream. Anybody else have this issue?

I don't think it has anything to do with the radiation or your brain would itch on the inside. ;D
I think it's just the irritation from having a foreign object in your ear.
I have the Cros and Audeo. The Cros is in my dead ear with a custom mold and that never bothers me.
The Audeo is in my good ear and that's where I get the irritation from inserting the unit. When it bothers me I scratch it, then it gets raw, then scabs up, then I pick at it. Vicious cycle.
I have had some good results with cortisone cream or antibiotic ointment from the drugstore but I don't often think about using it.
Oh well, just one more bear that we have to cross.

Actually, my ear started itching long before I got the Bolero with the custom mold but it seems to be significantly itchier since last Monday when I picked up the unit. Another reason to be disappointed I couldn't get approval for a BAHA... ::)
