Hi Guys,
My doctor suggested I try lipo flavanoid for my tinnitus. The supplement supposedly works by increasing circulation to the inner ear. Though I wonder if this can be a double edged sword and nourish the tumor as well. Thoughts?

I hate to be the bearer of negative news but Lipo-flavonoid is not likely to help lessen the effects of tinnitus.
Tinnitus in AN patients is usually caused by damage to the acoustic nerve. The 'sound' originates in the brain, not the eardrum.
Here's one review of the product: http://www.healthhound.org/2010/04/lipo-flavonoid-investigation/342.html (http://www.healthhound.org/2010/04/lipo-flavonoid-investigation/342.html) Granted, this website is selling alternative 'remedies' for tinnitus (which I would ignore) but the fact remains that, in almost every case where the AN is the cause of hearing loss and tinnitus, treating the eardrum will not help.

Oddly enough after I started taking it I noticed my tinnitus seemed to calm down. In my head maybe?

I can't find any decent scientific evidence that shows that it is effective.
Pubmed would normally show something.... Can't find a thing.

Well, tinnitus is all in your head, so...
Anyway, if it helps you and doesn't hurt you, go for it.

I have taken Lipo Flavaniod for the last three years at the doctors suggestion. I have found that it does nothing for the tinnitus. But I can also say that it does wonders in helping with the fullness in your head feeling. I thought I would do an experiment so I stopped it for about 3 months. And the fullness in my head came back, so of course I started it again and the fullness went away.
One point that many do not understand, you have to take it for up to 6 months before you may notice any difference. All I can say is for $20 per month, it works for me.
