Title: MRI shows possible shrinkage
Post by: Jackie on April 23, 2013, 02:51:26 am
Hello to my fellow ANer's and especially to those that are on the Watch and Wait program. After having sent my most recent MRI to HEI the doctor concurred that it is stable and just maight be about a millameter smaller! Can't believe the great news, but I'l take it! I hope it continues in the sme direction as Derek's!!!

Love and Blessings to all,
Jackie

Hi Jackie...

That is absolutely fantastic news. Stability is great but any reduction is priceless!! ;D

What a wonderful reward for your 6 years perseverance in W & W...many congrats Jackie and long may your great results continue. This is just the right news that us dedicated 'W & W's and those contemplating 'W & W' want to hear!

Best Wishes

Wow! Jackie thats great news... I`m going for my 2 year MRI this summer at about the same place your at. It would be really something to reduce a bit but I will be happy with stable... Very happy for you! Best wishes, Mickey

More good news folks...

Just today I have received the results of my March MRI scan and I have a double celebration with Jackie. Another small reduction has been recorded and this time within the CPA, so at long last the AN is starting to move away from my brainstem!

Had a bit of a chuckle when I read the consultant radiographers report as he stated that the reduction is consistent with a 'treatment related effect'. He has me listed as a Gamma knife patient! :o

Regards

Derek

Derek and Jackie - so nice to get this great news and know that you are still trying to catch up with me (11-1/2 years W&W).  Keep up the good work.

I'm convinced that these doctors use some sort of boilerplate wording when they write these reports.

I obtained all the reports of my consults and GK procedure and there's stuff in them that never happened. Nothing critical mind you. Just some occasional statements that raise an eyebrow.

Hey, very great news Derek! Let's keep this happening!! Also Sheryl, you bet we are wanting to follow your lead!! While Watch and Wait is not for everyone, I can say that with considerable research, and the help of this forum and prayer, of course, I know I have made the right decision for me!

I hope and pray for all of us ANer's continued success in whatever direction you choose, and continued healing for all!
Jackie
