Title: No noticible hearing loss?
Post by: momof2beauties on March 17, 2013, 11:19:37 am
Has anyone been diagnosed with an AN but have minimal loss of hearing (or just intermittent loss of hearing with tinnitus?)

Yes I have. My hearing has a slight loss in my AN ear for many years along with tinnitus in both ears, more so in AN ear.  Best wishes, Mickey W+W

I'm sure they have but I wouldn't consider a 27% loss as minimal especially if the 27% loss occurred rather quickly.

Arizonajack-
The 27% weaker ear was just referring to my dizzy sensation. They did not test my hearing (why, I don't know). They just tested me for the vertigo I've been having lately( maybe to deteime if it was positional or central?)

Oh, OK, you're the one that asked about the VNG. Now I understand where the 27% comes from.

I suggest an Audiogram as soon as possible.

Just say "Doc, I want an Audiogram."

If your doctors aren't with it, you can get one for free at Sams Club, Costco, Sears, and most other places that sell hearing aids.

I regret my procrastination a few years ago when I was starting to miss what people were saying to me.

Thanks everybody! I'm getting my MRI with contrast tomorrow and they send you home with a CD. So I'll be combing through mri's online to compare!
