Hello
Its been a while since I posted in this forum and just wanted to let all those that remember me that I am well, my scans are clear although I clearly now have an allergy to Gadolinium!!! Nothing like a shot of Hydrocortisone and Fenergen before I can even begin to have an MRI.
Anyway I now have a little boy who was born on the sam day as my surgery one year later. What an omen that was...He is nearly 2 years and I am nearly 3 years post op. I have had no further CSF leaks and not many other problems, still have paralysis on my left side of my face but its not too bad only a grade 2.5 according to my specialist. I cope well with SSD and my other ear has compensated well.
Life is good and I didnt think I would cope after the surgery but time has helped me cope and move past this terrible ordeal. Wont ever forget it but am not going to dwell on it either.
Good luck to all those having surgery, straight after the surgery is usually the worst but it will get better from there...
Merry Xmas everyone

Thank you Jacqui! I am two months post op translab and I very much appreciate your message. I am still not driving and feel sort of off balance when walking or disconnected in my head, but your post makes me hopeful. You are so right-immediately after the surgery it seems one will never get back to normal, but thank you for reminding us to believe in the process.
Merry merry Christmas and congratulations on your baby blessings. Mil
