Title: Rhizotomoy
Post by: Mei Mei on November 03, 2012, 09:28:39 pm
Hi Friends,
I'm still having horrific pain in my head and suboccipital area.    I posted on this site did anyone know about  Methymethacriolate?    I had that surgery done to protect the dura from the Titanium mesh.   The surgery didn't work and the pain is there more than ever.   kplust the mesh is now glued in and really cannot be removed.    I wish I never did that and really believed the doctor who did it that all would be well after this.

Now I have been going to a pain specialists for epidurals every three weeks. and I guess this says that I still haven't recovered from the Jan 2010 retrosigmoid surgery.

Went to a surgeon suggested by the pain doctor and they are now talking about Rhizotomy of the C2 nerve entrapped by the mesh.    I'm so terribly tired of all this recovery business.

Have any of you had rhizotomy?    Please contact me.
Hugs,
Mei Mei   ???

Mei Mei ~

I'm truly sorry to learn that you're still suffering with pain and that the surgery was not effective.  I haven't had the Rhizotomy procedure but I believe it is usually performed electronically and is intended to desensitize the nerves that are emitting the pain signals. Whatever the details of the procedure, I trust that if you choose to have it, this will finally bring you the relief you've pursued for so long.  My prayers are with you.

I keep hoping and hoping that the next thing I do will help finish the pain and the pressure where the titanium mesh and C2 nerve are.   Can't have any more surgeries because I stand a moderate chance of waking up with a trache .    I have to research this more.
