It has come to our attention that NBC News recently featured a segment on caregivers, including a link to the AARP website:
http://www.aarp.org/home-family/caregiving/?cmp=RDRCT-CRGNG_APR12_012 (http://www.aarp.org/home-family/caregiving/?cmp=RDRCT-CRGNG_APR12_012)
The AARP website features a Caregiver Resource Center with many tools for caregivers including webinars, videos, and a caregiver support phone line.
For additional services and programs that may be helpful for you, please visit the ANA website, www.ANAUSA.org (http://www.ANAUSA.org). Here you’ll find a Caregivers link with an overview as well as a resource page with links to many helpful organizations. Many caregivers also take advantage of ANA Local Support Groups, where they can meet, network and gain helpful tips to assist them during their caregiving journey. To find a support group in your area, visit our website support groups link, http://www.anausa.org/index.php/support-groups/support-groups-by-state (http://www.anausa.org/index.php/support-groups/support-groups-by-state).
In addition, ANA’s Willing to Talk (WTT) program provides the names of ANA members who have gone through treatment and recovery, including several caregivers. Contact us through our website or call the office directly to request a Willing to Talk (WTT) list today.
