So whenever I bend over, stretch, or get up too fast (basically anything that makes blood flow in my head more than usual) I get a swooshing/pulsing noise/feeling in the AN ear. I'm curious if this happens to anyone else.

I have noticed that whenever I do anything that causes my BP or pulse to increase, this affects the noise in my head. Hooray, no more exercise or cutting the lawn. The tinnitus actually goes from my typical roar to a loud pulsing.

I am almost 3 years post op and I randomly get that 'swooshing' feeling. It only lasts a few seconds but it is strange. It's not tinnitus, which I also get on occasion.
-
I also experienced the swooshing/pulsing about 2 months ago. It was off and on for several weeks but has not continued, which I am very grateful for. It was such an odd sensation

I too get the whooshing noise. I have been told it is vascular tinnitus. It can get so loud even my son can hear it in time with my heartbeat.
-
It has become the new normal for me after my 2008 surgery.

I said previously that it becomes a loud pulsing but I was paying more attention Sunday as I was doing carpentry work with my head down and heard it again. It does have a whooshing sound to it. I attribute this to the increase in BP and pulse that occurs during physical activity.

I've had that effect for quite awhile, as well. In addition, whenever I drive through a tunnel--it's weird...I get an imbalance in the sound between my good ear and bad. It only happens at the end of the tunnel, too.
