Title: Question on contacting Dr. Chang
Post by: novagirl on July 12, 2012, 12:32:24 pm
Hello all - I haven't been on here in a while, but basically have been in W&W since July 2009. My last two MRIs have shown growth, so it's time to act. Unfortunately, my doctor is a surgeon and doesn't recommend radio for me because I am "too young" - I am 36. So, I decided to consult Dr. Chang at Stanford and see if I can go there for CK treatment. My question to you all is this: does anyone have Dr. Chang's e-mail address? I called his office and they said I need to mail my MRI CD and the audiogram results. I would think there should be a way to do this electronically, but perhaps not. I am on the East coast so have to communicate long-distrance with him first. I know, not a major question, but would appreciate if someone could tell me what is the easiest way to do this.

Thank you!

My CK was with Dr. Chang/Dr. Soltys.   I think they work in pairs, I'm not sure how it works.

This is Dr. Chang's nurse when I went there in 2009.  You might want to try calling her and getting Dr. Chang's email address, it's at home and I'm at work:

Michelle Kleszewski  1-650-736-2292

Anyway, I have Dr. Soltys Nurse Practioner's email card in my wallet.  You could email her and ask if she has Dr. Chang's email address.  I've spoken to her several times, she's very nice.

Laurie Tupper, N.P.
ltupper@stanfordmed.org

Her phone number is 650-498-4143

Hope that helps.  I spoke with Dr. Chang over the phone first, before i sent my stuff.  Remember, he is both a surgeon and does CK... about 50-50, so I felt confident he wasn't swaying me one way over the other.  Tisha

I now recall that I also sent my MRI, etc. with a letter to Dr. Chang.  He called me after he reviewed them, that was the first time i spoke with him.  I think he needs to see everything and now your situation, age, before he can recommend.
