Post by: JWW on May 01, 2012, 03:07:26 pm
Are there a listing for the codes for insurance purposes for CK, GK, FRS, SRS somewhere on this discussion forum?

Hi JWW;

  Don't believe so. Ins. Cos may not use the same code #s for procedures. Now, if it were Medicare, I believe the codes used could be discovered.
  You could try contacting your Ins. Co. if you need the submission codes.

I am not 100% sure but I thought all codes are Universal....I know there is an ICD-9 code book used by all so I assumed CPT codes would be the same...I forgot to add most insurance companies I dealt with also add that they have to bill by Medicare's guidelines.

I, too, think ICD-9 codes are universal.

Why do you need the codes?  Your doctor should have them.
