How do you post a picture in place of that small yellow box?

You have to upload your picture from Photobucket. I believe you paste your URL from there to here.

Karen Photobucket is a place where you can share pictures. If you google it you will see. Hope this helps.

Go here: http://photobucket.com/ (http://photobucket.com/)  Its free.

You'll be offered options for "linking" your photo after you've uploaded it. 

Use the one that will start off something like "http://i395.photobucket.com/..."  Select that text, copy it, then head back here to the ANA forums.  Go to Profile, then Forum Profile Information, then select "I have my own pic:" and paste the URL you copied from Photobucket into that spot.

That should do it...I hope.

I know it can be a hassle for some.  It took me awhile to figure it out.  That's why my avatar photo is 10 years old.  KIDDING!  :D  It's actually from Christmas, 2010.

Jim- thanks so much.  I sent this to myself so next week when I get home I can try posting a picture so all can see who this person is.   ;D

Thank you to those who offered instructions on getting my picture posted.  It worked on the third try.  I need a different photo though.  That was from our Disney trip with me, my son and Goofy!

One thing that I noticed is that in the box where you would paste your picture address, there was already http typed in.  Make sure you delete that first.  Also, you need to use the drop down right under your picture on photobucket where you choose the linking choice.

From photobucket using link under IMG for bulletin boards & forums - clickable thumbnails
Also, tried the link under full size, neither have worked.

The links that are generated all start with either i1257 or s1257

Back under Profile I'm selecting Use Avatar by URL or something along those lines.  Never saw a selection for personal picture.

I did delete the http: 

Any other suggestions?
