Leaving for Phoenix Barrow Institute for sugery on Thursday Nov 17th. Will have retrosigmoid on 2.5 growth. All support systems are in place. Ready to begin this journey. This site and the local contact in Tucson have been a big help. I will post again on the other side.

Posting a lot later than expected post surgery. The surgery went well. But complications with pneumonia and fluid kept me in ICU for awhile. It was rough. Now I am in Neuro Rehab Unit at St Josephs Barrows Institute with good prognosis. Balance is shaky, lost strength, and some swallow issues that are keeping me from eating by mouth. Therapies in place for all of these issues. Expect to be home in 1 to 2 weeks followed by rehab and adjustment at home before return to work. Not much functional hearing in affected ear left but Im told that may change. Im open to suggestions on work on regaining balance both at rehab and at home soon.
