Hello to all. I've been watching and watching since April 2011 when I was diagnosed. My hearing is hanging in there so far. Tinnitus comes and goes. My mom passed away in September which was incredibly stressful, the tinnitus really kicked up during that time and it felt as if my hearing might go. Now the tinnitus has calmed back down and the full feeling in my ear that presented itself during that stressful period has diminished.
Then today, I woke up and my left eye (AN side) is twitching. This has happened before, but not since being diagnosed. I won't have my next MRI until January (had an MRI in July, stable no growth). Has this happened to any of you folks that have been wating and watching for more than 5 years?
Thanks for responding!

Hi Lisa...
This is a very common condition not directly associated to AN's and is usually spasmodic / temporary and known to be associated with stress, tiredness and lack of sleep. You have been through a very recent traumatic situation relevant to the sad loss of your mother which may well be the cause. My thoughts are with you and your family as you come to terms with the situation.
Regards
Derek

Hi Lisa,
I have an eye twitch recently, now and then, and an upper lip twitch, recently, only now and then. They are on the
non-AN side, and I think, have no relationship to it. Probably it has happened more in the past than I remember, but I am now so aware of every little thing, especially twitching of any kind! that I think I notice it more. I have been W and W only 1.5 years, but am hoping it to be forever!

Derek, thanks so much for your kind words. 2011 has been an incredibly challenging year. Looking VERY forward to 2012!
And now my other eye has been twitching on my non-an side! So it does appear to non-an related. Thank you Barb.
It' so comforting to be able to reach out to this forum when there's a question or concern. Fingers crossed January shows a tumor that is at least stable and maybe even diminished!

Hi Lisa! I've experienced twitching many years ago. I`ve also had tinnitus for as long as I can remember. The twitching has come and gone, with the tinnitus becoming more bearable over the years. I have done alot to remedy the tinnitus. Diognosed going into 5 years now and feeling pretty good. Just want you to know that we are pulling for you. Stay positive going int MRi in Jan. I know how stress can affect things... My dad passed a few days before Xmas last year and everything went haywire for a while. My condolences and prayers are with you, Mickey
