Title: balance issues post surgery, many years post op

Hi everyone,
 I just wanted to say hello and give you some useful information. I recently have been having a bout with some sever balance issues, i am 14 years post op. I went to a balance center, and have been doing vestibular rehabilitation. One thing i found out is that since February i have been having some serious neck problems with stifness and pain etc. I had a cat scan and degenerative disc disease was found and arthritis. My physical therapist told me that since i was not turning my head due to neck pain, it interfered with my vestibular system, because the eyes and ears keep you on balance and turning your head is a big part of it. I am making progress, they are treating the neck and balance. take care of your necks!!!
