I just told my friend in Australia about my AN. First thing she said was "cell phone". Just curious if ANA has done any study or survey on the effect of cell phone usage since there is a ready populatoin that can be polled.
I am a heavy cell phone user for over 10+ years. My husband seems to think there is a high correlation since my AN is on the left side and I am right handed.

Hi Mary,
I have heard of a couple of studies but have not followed them closely. I also was/am a heavy cell phone user. One thing that I seem to remember about the studies was that the tumors were believed to be linked to analog cell phones and not digital.

When I met with Dr. Jay Loeffler (radiation oncologist at Mass General Hospital) he claimed to have published some research indicting that ANs are *not* related to cell phone use. I never looked up the research, so I can't give more info than that! But it's maybe a place to start if you're interested in looking at the data.

Got another Google Alert today on AN. Wonder if that's the culprit? My friends and family all think it is.
