I was recently diagnosed with a 1.7 cm AN and on Friday I had the some pre-op testing including an ENG and a CT scan. After the appointments I returned to the neurotologist's office to go over the results. He told me that the ENG revealed that I would most likely be dizzy post surgery and the CT revealed that my jugular vein was unusually high and this was a cause for concern due to more risk in bleeding. He still feels that the Trans-Lab approach is the best option for removal of the tumor. I am more confused than before in regard to my treatment. Prior to this appointment I was confident that I wanted the tumor out and would rather have it out than preserve my what hearing I have left. I still feel this way but the vein placement has me more concerned. I know that the positive side of this is that they know the vein's location. Any comment or knowledge of this type of complication. Thanks!!! :-\
