Title: Swelling after GK

I had GK 2 days ago.  My face looks like I have been beaten!!  One of my eyes is nearly swollen shut.  I don't feel particularly bad, though.  However, going back to work is not looking good for Monday!!

I would wait until the swelling goes down to get back into the routine, your body is trying to overcome something, let it do its work and make sure that this swelling is a normal reaction.

I think you are right.  I was under the impression that this would be a piece of cake.  The procedure itself was for me.  Absolutely no pain.  This swelling, however, is not what I expected.  The nurse told me I could go on a field trip with my class yesterday, but I decided ahead of time to take that day off.  It's a good thing, because it just keeps getting worse.
