Title: Surgery May 18th.
Post by: STG on May 11, 2011, 04:37:21 am
Good morning. This time next week I will be in lala land and a new adventure will begin and who knows what it will be like. I keep telling myself not worry but it is not easy. I do want to let everyone in this forum to know that I am very grateful for the time spent with posting your personal experiences. This has been the best source for information and made my decision for surgery so much easier that I am not second guessing it. (maybe a little).

I do have a question, is it possible to have a list of the members that surgery this month and in the coming weeks?

Thank you,
STG

Make sure you enter your surgery on the calendar as well.  Good luck.  Your attitude is great and that's more than half the battle!

STG ~

Welcome - and know that many thoughts and prayers will be with you as you enter into AN surgery next week.  I'm so pleased to learn that the ANA forums have been beneficial for you.  I trust that will continue, post-op.  We'll be here to support you as you go through what I hope will be a smooth surgery and a rapid and complete recovery.

Um, Kaybo, that would be STG.   :D

Your typo made me laugh, though.

That auto-correct is something. It's hard enough to type on a touch screen without having the dang thing second guess what you want to write. I think that the auto-correct programmers are a perverse bunch that lie awake nights thinking of ways to distort perfectly innocent words.

Back to topic - STG we are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers as your surgery approaches. Keep the faith!

STG,
Welcome to the forum~ (I'm still wondering what the typo was with Kaybo and I think I figured it out. :D )
ANYWAY, keep posting and we are here for you ! Surgery is just a few days away. I will be thinking of you and praying for a successful surgery.
Our son turns 18 on the 18th, so will help me remember your surgery on the 18th.

STG .....

Many thoughts and prayers for Wednesday!  My second AN surgery was last Wednesday, the 11th and I feel great.  Certainly hope and pray you do as well.  You may have some balance and hearing issues afterwards and maybe not ..... it all depends on your unique situation.

I am a firm believer in the power of prayer because I know it contributed greatly to my being totally relaxed when the anesthesiologist said, "Well, it's time to say good night!"  Made me chuckle as I went to sleep.

Take a deep breath and let us know any fears you still have and try to have someone post that you are out of surgery and doing well.

STG,
Good luck to you on Thursday.  It should go well.  I had my AN surgery in November and had no problems.  Then when I went for my follow-up MRI in March, it showed the tumor gone, but another one in the salivary glands.  So I just had surgery again a week and a half ago.  I am planning on going back to teaching on Thursday.  The AN surgery was an easier recovery, but I'm trucking along.  From everyone's prayers and all the information I had received from this site, I was calm going into surgery.  When you can let us know how you are doing.  I will remember you in my prayers.  Sandy

STG - I put it on the calendar for you. Go to http://my.calendars.net/AN_Treatments and click on the 18th, then select edit for your entry if you would like to edit the color or put in more details such as type of surgery, where, etc.
