Title: It shrunk (said as I'm tap dancing)!

Well, my 2 year MRI shows that it has shrunk in one year to a size slightly smaller than pre-CK.  At 12/09 it was 1.8 X 1.3.  In Feb 2011, it's 1.5 x 1.0.  (preCK it was 1.6 X 1.1)  I really think the nystagmus this past year might have been caused by all the moving and shrinking of the tumor on the nerve.  I haven't had an attack since the end of January, just a little weird feeling a couple of weeks ago.  Valium and Dramaminie stopped it before the attack and I've been fine ever since.  I tell you...it was such great news to hear from Stanford last week!  Just thought I'd share.  Tisha

Hey, Tisha!  So good to hear from you!  And what great news to hear!  Glad the nystagmus has eased up for you, too.  Hope all else is going well for you and your family!  We need to catch up on things!

Many thanks for sharing the great MRI report!  We love to learn about AN patients doing well and moving toward normalacy.  I'm glad you're now one of them.  :)

Thanks Cindy and Jim!  My nystagmus started last May 13 (I'll never forget) and what a year it has been with that. My hopes are that the worst is behind me.

Hi Tisha,

great news. It has been a bumpy ride for you, but obviously things are improving nicely. I think I need to go back to your posts and read a bit about your nystagmus experiences, as I have been getting some after surgery.

Congrats! I was thinking of getting in touch with the doctors at Stanford as well. Although traveling across country for CK would be asking alot...
