Title: Clinical trial of Nilotinib for tumor suppression
Post by: mk on March 16, 2011, 05:26:54 pm

I learned that the University Health Network in Toronto is conducting a clinical trial for a drug called Nilotinib. This has been used for treatment of leukemia, but apparently the researchers at UHN believe that it may be also effective for benign tumors and specifically ANs. I don't know if such studies have been conducted anywhere else. Anyway, here is the link:

Very interesting! To me I believe it is very logical that someday there will be some kind of "pill" treatment other than the options we have. As a W+W patient I`ve looked for and have been taking anything associated with the chance of halting growth in my AN. So far so good goin into 4 years, knock on wood. Best wishes, Mickey
