Title: Fullness in AN ear, anone?
Post by: kkl on February 06, 2011, 10:35:27 pm
Dear all,

My AN was operated around 7 weeks ago and my left ear is pretty much deaf by now, which I knew that it could happen.  First 2 days post op, I had some ringing sounds but it's gone by now.  However, it feels a bit full on that ear.  I want to ask if you also feel that way?  And will it go away?  And if it's related to feeling a bit imbalance?

Any thoughts are welcome.

Thanks,

Konnie

Konnie:

I'm 2.5 years post-op and still have the feeling of fullness in the AN ear. It felt worse right after surgery. Over time I've gotten used to it. I don't expect mine to go away.

I had the fullness pre-op, it was one of the things that led me to schedule an appointment with my ENT; which led to my MRI and my diagnosis.

Post op the fullness left me.  From what I recall, it left me immediately post op.

I'm going on 4 years post-op, and my head still feels funny every once in awhile...   I think it follow the weather.   Some days I have fullness.    The past couple of days, the tinnitus has been screaming loud....   I think its job stress...     Other days, I feel 100% normal just like I never had an AN....

I did not have surgery, but gamma knife.  I had the fullness in my ear before I was diagnosed and it, thankfully, went away.  Every other symptom has hung around except that one.  I am grateful for at least that.

It might go away.  Think positive.
