Title: My 8 year ANniversary!

Around this exact time 8 years ago I was lying in a hospital bed in California watching the room spin around and puking my guts out! Boy am I glad that's behind me! Still having headaches, but nothing like before, and I have since found a whole world of new friends out here in the Interwebs who have had a similar experience. Met up with quite a few of them, too and have even cyber-cruised with a whole motley crew o' wonkyheads.
Just saying thanks for all your support throughout these past years and to all you who are new to this AN business, stay in touch with the folks you meet here, you will get more help than you can imagine, and a few laughs, to boot.

Even though I'm W+W and I hope to always remain that way, it gives me great relief and hope that you have gone through all of this and can tell about it 8 years later w/a warm spirit, fine attitude and grace. I hope to be half way to where your spirit lies 8 years from now whether I'm watch and wait or not. Thank you Capt Deb. G

What a ride this has been! Probably parts of it like surviving Hugo! You have brought us to laughter and tears and I'm so glad that I have been along for the ride....for almost six years. I had the room spinning/gut puking experience too, although it's kind of a distant memory now.

Congratulations, Deb! WOW, 8 years out. The next 8 years simply have to be better for you ..... you've had a wild ride.
Besides, I'm still waiting to see some great post-AN wonderful art that I know you can do!! Also, sure hoping you will be in Cincinnati to reconnect in person again.

Capt Deb, Our anniversaries are big deal and congratulations on yours. I wish you didn't have so many other surgery painful anniversaries and hope for a better life with getting the help you need now! Keep us smiling and laughing as you do on here! Cheryl R

Congratulations on achieving your 8th AN post-op anniversary! Your indomitable spirit, creativity and ironic sense of humor have been much appreciated on these forums. Even though we hope your post-op issues are finally resolved, we also look forward to your continued presence here (as a supporter of AN patients) for some time to come.

An amazing person you are - notwithstanding that you and Dr Luuuurrrrvvvvv have had one or two medical issues to do battle against but you have also been a great inspiration and help to all.

Congratulations for not only surviving, but thriving! Your "unsinkable Mollie Brown" outlook cheers up all of us. Here's hoping that the last few remaining "souvenirs" of your surgeries soon fade into oblivion!

Congrats to you!!!! We've got lots of milestones to celebrate with much gusto!!!!!! 8 years is a doozey and I'll just bet you're celebratin' in style. Although I don't post a lot, I have looked to you through this forum to keep me smiling many many times - and you are always demonstrating to me that things can be downright crappy...and yet there are still ways to snicker.

Even with all those headaches you've never lost that great sense of humor. Now that's inspiration! Sure you're out of your mind a little but what pirate isn't, right? I'm sorry to say I can't remember the pirate name you gave me a long time ago but I did have brain surgery so I'm excused. :) Here's to another (tumor free) eight years and hopefully no more headaches.
