Hey everyone,
I just had to brag a little bit..
This was for my Strawberry Kiwi salsa awarded just yesterday.
Not bad for being just over 2 years out of surgery, eh? :)

Congratulations!

Wow Pooter,
That's superb! We always knew you were a winner!!! Bet that Strawberry Kiwi salsa is amazingly good! Going to market it are you?? Will you still be nice when you are rich and famous?? Congratulations on a great accomplishment!

Ummmmmmmmmm, that sounds delicious! CONGRATULATIONS on the award.
We love Trader Joe's peach salsa (they used to have mango salsa but cannot find it anymore) so I know we would love your strawberry kiwi. Maybe you could make some big bucks selling your recipe to a distributor for Trader Joe's! I would buy it!!!

So . . . there is life after brain surgery after all!!
Yummy!

Congrats Brian....you should have brought some of your award winning salsa to our AN meeting. Maybe next time.

I'm really curious now, what could possibly beat out strawberry kiwi salsa?
Sara
P.S. My husband is into canning salsa as well, though so far his has been more traditional.

Congratulations on the recipe my daughter's girlfriend makes one with almost the same ingredients and it is so delicious a little too hot for me as you get older so does the stomach but it is really good.
Best Wishes,
Pat

congrats ... sounds good ...
not salsa but just seeing that makes me want jalapeño jelly ... great on corn bread with a plate of beans
-
Pooter, I just ate one of those horrible frozen meals for lunch and what I wouldn't give for some of your award winning salsa, yum!
I know recipe please.....
Congrats to you,
Liz

And when do we get to taste this award winning delight? ::)

Pooter,
Congrats on the salsa award. Hot Sauce Festival. It would take a brave person to be a salsa judge! ;D

Very Cool 8) ... or should I being saying "Hot !" ? :o
SO does it have any tomatoes in it? I ask as I love salsa but have developed and allergy to tomatoes. If there are no tomatoes this may be a good alternative.
Congrats!

Major congratulations, Pooter!
You, a chef - who knew ??? ;D
Read your response to me on the local Houston ANA meeting - didn't respond back because I didn't want to hijack again (see, Phyl, I'm trying to comply with the rules here ;) ).
Will catch up with you later via email.
Best,
Jan

Thanks everyone! I was just as shocked as the next guy about taking 2nd place (or any place for that matter).. There were over 400 entries, so I had resigned myself to know that it was very unlikely.. I guess we all know about longshot odds, eh? ;)
DMH: to answer your question, no there are no tomatoes.
As far as the recipe goes... Umm.. you add some of this... a little bit of that... some of that other thing (but not too much). ;)
I may just have to make some more for the party we have at Kay's house. Hahah..

That's my favorite kind of recipe, Poot.
DHM - be careful, tomatoes and strawberries are closely related (who knew?) so people are often allergic to both.

You know, Pooter, every time I see your profile picture come up with that goofy grin, the double thumbs-up, the Steve watchcap, and the "Official Breeze Conjurer PBW" line, well, it just cracks me up!!!
Hugs,

Yeah, I love Pooter's profile picture, too.
Speaking of Steve, where the heck has he been lately??
