The area is swelling from the fat graph. The side where the bulb was removed to harvest the fat has raised up to about the size of a golf ball or so. I was wondering if anyone had experienced this. I'm 16 days post op, hope you can read this having a hard time typing. Thanks so much,
Angela (Will post more later, when able).

Angela,
I have not had surgery and so cannot comment from experience. However, I would call and/or see a doctor. You could have an infection or something at that site. Best to get it checked out and not let it get worse.

I can't offer you any personal experience because my doctor chose not to use the fat graft. However, I would echo Connie's suggestion that you put in a call to your doctor, informing him of this development if for no other reason than your peace of mind. That's worth a phone call. Hope there isn't a problem. Please let us know. Thanks.

Ditto...Please call doc....had the fat graft ...no swelling....just sore/

Definately get it checked, I have had 2 fat graphs and had no swelling with either one. Could be an infection...

Tuning in late on this one, but I had retrosigmoid and a fat graft.
No swelling or other issues at all.
This doesn't sound normal to me. If you haven't already, contact your doctor.

Hope it has gone down by now, but just in case... I had a great deal of swelling where they removed the fat (my stomach). Is this where you are referring to? They offered to drain it several times, but I'd had enough needles by then. It went away with time.
Hope that helps,
Marty
