Title: Think they will allow this in surgery?

Do you think the doctors will allow me to bring a picture with me into surgery? I remember last time how bad it sucked just waiting as they were poking and prodding me with needles, IV's and such. Having this picture of my little girl would sure help.

I know that both of my small (7 and 8) girls have had surgery recently (tonsils and appendix) and they were allowed to take blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, whatever in the OR with them - I don't really see why a picture is any different...or an adult, for that matter.  I would take a copy & even tell them they can throw it away after you are under if keeping up with it is a problem for them - just so you would have it when you need it!!  Worth a try!

Yea, bring a copy, while you are in waiting area getting your IV and then once they wheel you into the OR and give you the "la la land" medicine, I'm sure they'll put it aside.

What a cute one you have. As the others have suggested, just bring the copy with you.

Yes, bring the picture she is darling!!!
I wish you the best of luck, it is scary and everyone around you will be so supportive.  Take 1 day at a time and listen to your body and do not over do it, rest alot.

By all means, take the picture of your most precious sweetie pie.  Like a couple others said, you might want to take a copy because once you are under anesthesia, you will not know where they put it.

Oh my goodness, I dare them to try to say "no" to that face!

I didn't feel bad to begin with, but I feel even better now after seeing that picture!  She's gorgeous!

I'm sure it won't be a problem, just make sure it's not your only copy of the picture, just in case it gets misplaced.

That is good to know Cheri. I think I will ask that. Like you said, it will be nice to see that it is definately out of there.
