How many people have/had scar "scare" tissue at there 1 year post op MRI? Just trying to prepare for next week - if I hear those words. This is my second surgery so I wonder how much I'll have and if they will be able to differentiate between that and/or regrowth?
After my first surgery, I was told it was scar tissue but later it was determined to be regrowth - ugh!
Thanks,
Jen

I was told there was some scar tissue after my 3 month post op mri. After my 1 year post op mri I was informed that the scar tissue is still present but has diminished considerably, see ya next year.

I have an area of "enhancement" that has been showing since the first post-op MRI. Both the radiologist and the neurosurgeon say it could be either scar tissue or residual tumor. It was slightly larger at the one year than at six months. It was essentially the same at two years out (in February). So at least it is not growing rapidly like the original AN did, if it is regrowth.

Oh yea that stuff--my head lights up like a lightbulb with it. Apparently the brain docs can sort it out from residual tumor.
Here's what my brainpan looks like now:

I had some enhancement/scar tissue etc... that they said was quite normal at both 3 months and 1 year 5 months.
